AKISAN Dallas Metro Chapter members are

The indigenous people of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria who reside in the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas, USA.

The Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria USA – AKISAN – Dallas Metro Chapter is a non-profit and non-political organization founded on January 20, 2010, in Dallas, Texas, USA, by natives of Akwa Ibom residing in the Dallas Metro Area.


We are the native people of Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria, currently residing in the Dallas Fort Worth area of Texas, USA. We are committed to promoting unity, progress, peace, and happiness among our brothers and sisters while nurturing the next generation of Akwa Ibom citizens in the USA. By leveraging the pillars of Education, Religion, Science, Economics, Culture, and Charity, we have resolved to formalize our efforts into an association.

AKISAN Dallas Metro Chapter Membership is open to all Akwa Ibom State indigenes, their wives, and naturalized citizens of Nigeria families of Akwa Ibom State indigenes. Honorable membership is also open to any individual irrespective of race, religion, and or nationality who contributes or wishes to contribute to the development of Akwa Ibom State and, or the people under the umbrella of Akwa Ibom State Association of Dallas Metro Chapter. 

As a non-profit and non-political organization, the Association likely operates according to its constitution or bylaws and is governed by the executive committee elected by its members. The aim is to foster cultural heritage, provide networking opportunities, support newcomers, and engage in community outreach activities.
